Office Move Checklist – Early Planning


There are quite a few aspects that go into the early planning stage of organising a move. First and foremost is to decide on an appropriate staff member who will be the point of contact between your business and our Central Project Manager. After this, take the following points into account:


  • Consider your current office equipment and IT situation – does it make sense to move it? Or should it be upgraded or replaced for the new premises?
  • List all the stationery and company letterheads that need to be amended;
  • Budget for any new access and security upgrades at your new premises; and
  • Send notices to clients, suppliers and distributors stating that you are relocating, providing details of changes to PO boxes, phone numbers and the actual address.

 

Keep your staff informed of the progress of developments and confirm the date of the move with your Central Project Manager. Throughout the planning stages, arrange the disconnection and reconnection of electricity, telephony, broadband and mail services at the new premises.


Office Move Checklist – Just Prior to the Move


Confirm all the final details with your Central Project Manager, and label all effects in accordance with the new floor plan. Ensure that you have all the access details, keys and codes for the new premises, in order to allow your staff and our employees to take care of getting all equipment and freights delivered and unpacked.
