Able Assistance with All Aspects of Office Moves

Although it’s not generally as emotionally traumatic as leaving one’s home and lifestyle comfort zone forever and settling into a new one elsewhere, an office move is nevertheless a stressful undertaking. This is particularly true for the business’s owner and senior management members, who bear the responsibility to ensure that every aspect proceeds smoothly.

As soon as new premises have been secured, notice given at the existing address, and dates are confirmed, it’s wise to get the ball rolling, beginning with the initial planning stages of your upcoming office move.

Contact Specialised Office Movers

The sooner you appoint an office relocation specialist, such as our prestigious concern, the better, since your moving date is vitally important and you want to avoid unnecessary, costly downtime and disappointment. Early confirmation will secure the service provider’s commitment and enable them (ideally our company) to initiate effective planning for each stage of the process.

Dedicated Project Manager

A professional, experienced project manager will be allocated to your company’s move. His/her task begins with a visit to your existing premises, in order to establish the size, extent, complexity, time management and overall requirements of your relocation, following which you’ll be provided with a quote.

Throughout the various phases, this person will be your organisation’s dedicated primary contact and they’ll liaise and coordinate the process, engage with your space planner and interior decorator, and communicate and meet with your own key persons on a regular basis. Just before the actual move, plenary meetings will be held with relevant people in your concern.

Particular attention will be paid to the measures needed to handle and transport sensitive equipment like IT systems, monitors, computers, electronic systems, artworks and other valuables. IT specialists are located in major cities throughout the country. Your telecom equipment will be professionally disconnected and reinstalled in the shortest possible time.

Rigging of heavy equipment and relocation of excessively heavy items, such as safes, are also undertaken. Document storage and safe, secure warehousing facilities are available, if required.

Packing/Handling Process

Our packing teams receive the best ongoing training possible. Each team member is experienced and completely aware of the importance of your possessions, and knows exactly how to ensure that they’re packed safely and securely.

It should be mentioned that we’ve lodged very few claims with our insurers during the span of many years, a testament to the extreme care which is given to our clients’ goods. We supply eco boxes and all materials required for packing.

Full, comprehensive packing and unpacking services are provided, requiring little or no input from your employees. Packing and unpacking of files are undertaken in specific, chronological order, so that there’ll be no searching or confusion when unpacking takes place at the new destination.

We own all the vehicles in our fleet, which is modern and well-maintained. Those used for loading and transporting particularly heavy or fragile items have been equipped with state-of-the-art handling/loading systems (tail lifts).

They are fitted with air suspension to prevent cargo from moving or being damaged in transit across road surface conditions which are all too often less than smooth, perfect and ideal. Additionally, our moving vehicles have been fitted with the latest tracking device technology, as an additional security measure when transporting your precious and indispensable possessions.

It’s a good deal to draw up a list of those parties who must be informed of your impending move and given information related to it. It’s far easier to work from a comprehensive list, so that no one is forgotten or omitted. The list could include:

  • • Providers of services and utilities, such as telephones and telecommunications, electricity, water supply, refuse removal, rates and taxes, and office cleaning – at both old and new premises – adhering to notice periods where required and giving adequate advance notification.
  • • Dates of suspension, final meter readings and connection/resumption of utilities at new address.
  • • Payment of related deposits where applicable.
  • • Customers, clients, suppliers and stake holders.
  • • Insurance company (premiums may be affected or change), government departments, bank.
  • • Reason for relocating, where applicable, emphasising the positive aspects thereof.
  • • Remember to inform all concerned about address, telephone number and any other changes, and from when they’ll take effect and expected downtime, whilst the move is in progress.
  • • Arrange for printing of new stationery with changes/new information, if applicable.

We’ll assist you wherever possible, both internally within your organisation and externally, with facilities managers, and other vendors and service providers. Our goal extends to ensuring that your office move proceeds smoothly in a stress-free manner, according to schedule and plan.
